Does not fit D3100

This item may fit a D3000 (I don't have one) but it does NOT fit a D3100. I will have to purchase a separate adapter to make this work, so I am not saving the money I thought I was. Still, I measured the full length at 11 feet so it will give plenty of flexibility to move around. The power brick is in the middle of the assembled cord so it may prove slightly cumbersome. I will update this when I get the correct adapter.

What the?

Just got product shown. Not sure what to think. It is listed as compatible with the D60 but I assure you it is not a proper fit. I admit that the ac power for the D60 is a crappy design but I thought that this product would at least function. It doesn't. Once you remove the battery and replace it with the corded battery-like insert of the adapter, the small compartment lid of the camera body can not close because of the cable. Since it is this tiny lid that forces the battery to contact the internal springs & power the camera, this adapter does not work without applying a great deal of pressure to make the contact inside the camera body. How could something like this be overlooked? I was so frustrated and baffled that I stopped setting up my shoot to write this review. Unfornately, I NEED AC power for this is shoot and am not sure of my alternatives. I plan to rig the adapter with a wad of gaff tape, secured with rubber bands or more tape but if that doesn't work I'll have to find a camera to borrow. I will be returning this disaster. Please remove the D60 from the list of compatiable cameras. And double check what cameras this product does actually work with.
