Useful Adapter
By PhotoMike
The use of high quality medium format lens on APS and Full Frame DSLR cameras offers many advantages to a photographer.
Whle all the "Auto" functions are bypassed, and focus, f-stop and exposure need to be set by the user, the results can be stunning.
The Fotodiox Pro Mamiya 645 adapter is a precise mount, that interfaces well to any Nikon body and accepts all the Mamiya 645 lens.
The fit and finsih of the adapter is a nice addition to the camera body.
I have used all of the Mamiya 645 lens form 45mm up to 500mm , with the entire focus range for each lens preserved.
Stunning images have resulted from using the longer lens at infinity. The use of a Nikon extension tube between the camera and the
Fotodiox adapter allows the shorter Mamiya lens to provide excellent Macro results, too.
As a professional photographer for 46 years, I highly recommend the Fotodiox adapter to those photographers that want to learn and
practise the fundamentals of photography as well as expand their capabilities from using medium format lens.

Lens Bonanza !
By Sparky
Since I have a number of older Mamiya 645 lenses from my past and present medium format film shooting, when i saw this adapter at a fairly low price it was a no-brainer to extend my 645 lens use to my Nikon D70 DSLR. Many of these older high quality lenses can be picked up used for a song since the general public's switch to digital but I already had several. The unit is well made and so far has performed flawlessly. I like it for the great medium format optics it makes available plus the portrait speed it gives me for shooting on my D70. My 80mm lens becomes a perfect portrait lens on that camera, enabling me to use a low f2.8 f-stop at the perfect portrrait distance of 12 to 15 feet for nice head and shoulder shots with beautiful background bokeh at f2.8. Longer lenses like the 150mm are very compact and I take it on my daily walks for nature shooting when there is low light or fog, again utilizing the lens speed which is so costly in non-full frame DSLR lenses. I did not have this fast lens capability for my D70 until this adapter purchase. When I take my 645 out for the express purpose of medium format film shooting, bringing my D70 body along for anything else enables me to travel light and still have a lot of flexibility in my shooting gear. The only drawback I have found so far is the fact the fit on the camera is fairly tight and taks s little getting used to for quick changing of the unit. This is a great buy for anyone already posessing Mamiya 645 lenses that is shooting a Nikon DSLR and does not require autofocus. - Sparky

Works better than ebay adaptors
By Emmanuel
I have been very satisfied with this product. It is well constructed, I get infinity focus, and the focus assist/exposure metering works on pro-grade Nikon bodies. From personal experience, I know the cheaper ebay stuff can get stuck and have trouble with infinity focus.
